Hi Kyle! You're my favourite dancer and I always look forward to your new stuff on Youtube! I teach my own classes up here in Canada, and while we do good at competitions, I've found this year I've been hit by writers block so much when it comes to choreography. I just take a break and come back to it, but do you have any more tips? I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm putting the final touches on the competitive hip hop pieces after Christmas, and want to do something amazing.
That happens to me a lot too! I would say wait for some inspiration. Not all inspiration needs to come from hip hop dance or even dance at all. Find inspiration in your imagination and your every day life and use it to fuel your creativity. Breaks are always good but make sure you are doing something constructive meanwhile. Otherwise you will just be coming back to the same problem you just left. :)
